Muncie TG8S-U6809-P3KG or TG8SU6809P3KG is a genuine Muncie TG Series PTO with an 8-bolt housing, from Pro Gear and Transmission. Its job is to carry engine power from the transmission to an output shaft that drives a hydraulic pump or other equipment. The TG Series pairs a constant mesh input gear with a die-cast aluminum housing, and the rotatable hydraulic flanges give a pump more room. Gear whine is usually the first sign of trouble at a PTO, and it often comes from too little clearance between the input gear and the transmission gear.
