282XDAKX-A3XD Chelsea Power Take-Off

The Chelsea 282XDAKX-A3XD is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series. The 282 Series supports pneumatic or hydraulic (PowerShift) engagement and carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm), with shaft power outputs of 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Output choices include round shaft configurations in 1-inch and 1-1/4-inch sizes. An integral air valve, rotatable flanges, and optional Wet-Spline technology for extended pump shaft life are hallmarks of the 282 Series design. Additional Information

The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining the 238 Series with proven components from Chelsea's PTO range. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The optional Wet-Spline configuration extends PTO and pump shaft service life. A Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up conditions. The 282 Series serves aerial, construction equipment, water truck, towing and recovery, home fuel oil delivery, defense, and material handling applications.
