The Chelsea 282XGAJX-V5RF is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot shift Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 282 Series. The 282 Series supports both pneumatic and hydraulic (PowerShift) shift options and delivers intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Output shaft options within the series include a 1-1/4" round shaft with 5/16" key and a 1" round shaft with 1/4" key. The series is designed for aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications. The 282 Series was developed as a redesign of Chelsea's medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining the 238 Series platform with updated components. Rotatable flanges, an integral air valve, and an optional wet-spline output are among the series-level design features. A positive stop on driveshaft output configurations helps prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up situations.
