The Chelsea 282XGDAX-15RF is a medium-duty hot shift Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 282 Series, mounted via an 8-bolt pattern. The 282 Series supports intermittent torque ratings of 201 to 300 lb-ft (401 to 500 Nm) and is available with pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. An integral air valve and rotatable flanges are built into the design. The series delivers up to 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and covers nine speed ratios across eighteen shift configurations, making it a versatile fit for aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications. The 282 Series was developed as a redesign of Chelsea's medium-duty hot shift PTO lineup, combining the 238 Series with updated components. Wet-Spline technology is available on direct-mount configurations to extend PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. A Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up demands.
