The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO lineup, combining elements of the 238 Series with updated components. The series includes optional Wet-Spline technology on direct-mount configurations for extended PTO and pump shaft service life, and driveshaft output versions incorporate a positive stop to protect seals from driveshaft yoke contact. The 282 Series also supports an optional Smart Start feature for high-torque startup conditions.
