The Chelsea 489DFMAX-56RJ is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the 8-bolt transmission opening and eliminates the adapter plate leak path common on other designs. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and output power of 46-55 HP (31-40 kW). Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
