The Chelsea 489DFMAX-A6RK is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the transmission's 8-bolt opening and eliminates the need for a separate adapter, reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and features a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and output power of 46-55 HP, backed by strong tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs.
