The Chelsea 489GLAHX-S5XQ is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path while delivering the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the 442 Series. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability, and internal parts are common to the 442 Series for straightforward serviceability.
