The Chelsea 871XFFJP-N5AC is a 10-bolt PowerShift (hydraulic) Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 871 Series, designed for Allison transmissions. The 871 Series delivers continuous torque up to 670 lb-ft (908 Nm) with no derating required for continuous duty applications. Its compact housing reduces clearance concerns, and a ductile iron bearing cap provides 117% greater strength than the gray iron cap used on predecessor units. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibration-related wear. The 871 Series replaces the earlier Chelsea 870 Series PTO and is available from Pro Gear and Transmission.

Additional Information

The 871 Series is the only Chelsea PTO to offer all three of Chelsea's high-demand options in a single family: Wet Spline (extends PTO and pump shaft life), SmartStart (reduces shock load at start-up), and Quiet Gear (reduced operating noise). Nine speed ratios and thirteen output options are available across the series, covering SAE B, SAE BB, SAE C, and DIN pump spline outputs as well as companion flange and DIN flange configurations. Common markets for this series include fire and rescue apparatus, truck cranes, pumper-cleaner units, and refuse vehicles. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is available to protect driven equipment. The 871 Series is supported by the 267/281/288/871/878 Series Owner's Manual and the 871 Series Parts List (HY25-2871-M1/US).
