The Chelsea 878XKFJW-M5RY is a constant mesh Power Take-Off from the 878 Series, engineered to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series is rated for up to 670 lb-ft of torque in both intermittent and continuous duty applications, making it one of the highest-torque PTOs in its package size. Key construction upgrades over the 877 Series include a ductile iron bearing cap (117% stronger than gray iron), an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and clutch pack steel discs that are 80% thicker. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed needs. Wet spline lubrication is included in this configuration for extended shaft life. Pro Gear and Transmission carries this genuine Chelsea unit.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 878 Series is engineered for demanding markets including snow and ice control, vacuum, aerial, and refuse applications. The 878 Series design improves on the 877 Series across three structural areas: bearing cap material, housing-to-cap sealing, and clutch pack disc thickness. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce interference fit issues during installation. The positive stop feature on driveline outputs protects oil seals from coupling damage.
