The Chelsea 892HEFJW-B5DA or 892HEFJWB5DA is a hydraulic hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 892 Series, engineered specifically for Allison 4700 Series transmissions. The 892 Series relocates the PTO and pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, pushing the pump output rearward to gain clearance between the PTO and the frame rail. A one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines that a PTO-plus-extension arrangement would require, and the clutch sits at the rear of the housing so the gear section tucks tightly against the transmission. The output uses wet spline technology to extend pump shaft service life under continuous-duty demands. Mounting is 10-bolt with an SAE C output flange and shaft. The 892 Series carries an intermittent torque rating above 501 lb-ft and output above 56 HP. Typical applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue trucks, refuse trucks, and truck cranes.
