The Chelsea 489DFMCX-V6XY is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing mounting time and potential leak paths. Shift is mechanical via wire or cable. Output is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
