The Chelsea 489DAMAX-56XD or 489DAMAX56XD is a 489 Series Power Take-Off (PTO) built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Internally, it shares proven components with the 442 Series and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
