The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GCAHX-A5GA or 489GCAHXA5GA, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and Eaton Endurant. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate that a two-piece design requires and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity.
