The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489QFLZX-D3RF or 489QFLZXD3RF, mounts directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without requiring an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path while delivering the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift type for this series is wire/cable mechanical. Output is via a 1-1/4-inch round shaft with key. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity, and the greaseable output shaft reduces spline fretting and corrosion over time.
