The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XFAHP-A3LF or 489XFAHPA3LF, is an 8-bolt mechanical shift PTO designed to mount directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths and installation time. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability and shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Intermittent torque rating for the series is 201-300 lb-ft. Applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, aerial equipment, and snow and ice removal units.
