The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHP-W5LF or 489XFAHPW5LF, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions without an adapter plate, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series while eliminating the adapter plate that would otherwise add a potential leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with a continuous output rating in the 46-55 HP range. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, making service familiar.
