The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and output power of 46-55 HP, drawing on tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle bearing designs.
