The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XHAHX-A5RD or 489XHAHXA5RD, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission apertures. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series is rated for 201-300 lb-ft intermittent torque and delivers 46-55 HP output. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. The 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft is standard. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
