The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XHAHX-P5AF or 489XHAHXP5AF, is a mechanical shift PTO designed for most manual transmissions carrying an 8-bolt PTO aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating that potential leak path. Tapered bearings replace the needle bearings found on some competing designs, providing greater load-bearing capability. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. The 489 Series carries the same torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series at 250 lb-ft, with intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft.
