The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XHAHX-X3XK or 489XHAHXX3XK is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths compared to multi-piece designs. This unit shifts via wire/cable mechanical actuation and is rated for intermittent torque of 201 to 300 lb-ft (301 to 400 Nm). Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. The 489 Series is a Chelsea kit-style PTO, making field service straightforward.
