The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XHITX-A3XY or 489XHITXA3XY, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, removing a common leak path and cutting installation time. This series fits most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series runs 201 to 300 lb-ft (301 to 400 Nm). The output shaft is a 1-1/4-inch round shaft with key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
