The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XLAHX-P5XQ or 489XLAHXP5XQ, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to compatible transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load capacity. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, making service straightforward.
