The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSAHX-S3XR or 489XSAHXS3XR, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Compatible transmissions include Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201 to 300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4 inch round keyed shaft. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
