The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XWEVX-V5XD or 489XWEVXV5XD, is an 8-bolt direct-mount PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity, and shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift type for this series is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a 1-1/4-inch round keyed shaft. The series spans 11 internal speed ratios and 27 output configurations, including Chelsea's 360-degree rotatable greaseable flange option.
