The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890JAFJW-G3XY or 890JAFJWG3XY, is a hydraulic hot-shift PTO engineered specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. The 890 Series uses a 10-bolt mounting configuration and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump mounting point back to open up clearance between the pump and the frame rail. The one-piece main shaft eliminates input splines between the PTO body and the output extension, and the clutch is located at the rear of the housing so the gear section sits flush against the transmission. Continuous-duty torque capacity reaches 670 lb-ft, with intermittent ratings beginning at 501 lb-ft. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. The wet-spline output lubricates the PTO-to-pump interface to reduce wear in demanding service. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO paired with a separate output extension. The clutch is positioned at the rear of the housing, allowing the gear section to mount tightly against the transmission for maximum frame-rail clearance. The 890 Series can be configured for Allison transmissions equipped with a cooler, a retarder, or both. Typical service applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue vehicles, snow and ice equipment, refuse trucks, pumper cleaners, and truck cranes. Call Pro Gear and Transmission to confirm which 890 Series configuration suits your transmission spec.Parts Manual: Chelsea 890 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) — exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.
