The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890LBFJW-G5XY or 890LBFJWG5XY, is a hydraulic hot-shift PTO built specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. The 890 Series relocates the pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, placing the output behind the transmission and between the frame rail for improved pump clearance. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines between the PTO body and the output extension. Wet-spline output technology protects the pump shaft in continuous-duty cycles. The SAE C output flange mounts on a 10-bolt pattern. Continuous-duty torque rating reaches 670 lb-ft. Common applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue trucks, refuse trucks, and truck cranes. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 890 Series is designed as a single unit, not a PTO paired with a separate extension. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the spline interface between the PTO body and the output extension that is common in conventional side-mount arrangements. The clutch assembly sits at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the gear section to mount tightly against the transmission and recover clearance between the transmission and frame rail. This geometry makes the 890 Series a practical choice for aerial lift trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, pumper cleaners, truck cranes, and refuse trucks where both high torque and tight pump-mounting space are requirements. The 890 Series can be ordered for transmissions fitted with or without a cooler, a retarder, or both.Parts Manual: Chelsea 890 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) — exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.
