The Chelsea 890 Series is purpose-built for applications where pump clearance and high torque output are both critical. Unlike a PTO-plus-extension setup, the 890 is a single unit with a one-piece shaft, which removes the input splines between the PTO body and the output extension. The clutch assembly mounts at the rear of the housing, allowing the gear section to sit flush against the transmission and fit between the transmission and the frame rail. The pump output locates to the rear of the transmission, providing adequate working space. An additional support bracket at the rear of the transmission supplements the standard side-mount interface. Wet Spline Technology on the SAE C output reduces wear on both the PTO spline and the mating pump shaft, particularly under continuous-duty or high-cycle conditions.
