The Chelsea 892HCFJW-G5XS or 892HCFJWG5XS is a hydraulic hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 892 Series, engineered specifically for Allison 4700 Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C output flange to the rear of the transmission, improving pump clearance compared to a standard side-mount configuration. An additional bracket at the rear of the transmission provides support. The one-piece main shaft eliminates input splines between the PTO and the output extension, and the wet-spline output design extends PTO and pump shaft life in demanding duty cycles. The Chelsea 892 Series PTO fits neatly between the transmission and the frame rail, locating the pump output to the rear of the transmission for adequate clearance. Unlike a PTO-with-extension arrangement, the 892 is a single unit with a one-piece main shaft. The clutch is positioned at the rear of the PTO, allowing the housing and gear section to tuck tightly against the transmission. The unit can be ordered for transmissions with or without a cooler, retarder, or both.
