The Chelsea 897NDFJW-M3CS or 897NDFJWM3CS is a constant engagement power take-off from the Chelsea 897 Series, designed specifically for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. The 10-bolt mounting configuration positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump interface rearward to improve clearance between the pump and the frame rail. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines that would otherwise exist between a PTO body and a separate output extension. The wet spline output extends the service life of both the PTO and the mating pump shaft under demanding duty cycles.
