The Chelsea 221ZLAHX-W5XD or 221ZLAHXW5XD is a 6-bolt power take-off assembly from the Chelsea 221 Series, designed for low-speed, heavy-duty vocational applications including dump trucks, tow and recovery, and aerial equipment. It features wire/cable mechanical shift, a 1-1/4" round output shaft with keyway, and a cast iron housing with tapered cone output bearings for strong load-bearing capability over needle-bearing designs. The Chelsea 221 Series PTO offers three internal speed ratios and a 360-degree rotatable flange option. The cast iron housing with tapered output bearings provides greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs. A self-lube option is available for transmissions that have difficulty delivering lubrication to the PTO. Continuous operation is possible with a 30% de-rating applied. Typical applications include dump trucks, tow and recovery, and aerial equipment in vocational and municipal service.
