The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly 272JSLLP-B8RB or 272JSLLPB8RB is a 6-bolt, hot-shift PTO designed for medium-duty applications including aerial equipment, towing and recovery, construction, and water trucks. It features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and shifts via pneumatic or hydraulic (PowerShift) actuation, with an integral air control valve included. The 272 Series carries a continuous-duty torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent rating of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output is rated at 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Rotatable flanges and optional wet-spline and Smart Start features extend pump shaft life and handle high-torque start-up conditions. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options, making it adaptable across aerial, construction, towing and recovery, and water truck applications. Direct mount outputs are available with optional wet-spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft outputs can be configured with the Smart Start option for high-torque engagement conditions.
