The Chelsea 272RGKUP-B3BD or 272RGKUPB3BD is a 272 Series Hot Shift power take-off designed for medium-duty applications including aerial, construction, towing and recovery, and water trucks. It mounts via a 6-bolt pattern and shifts pneumatically or hydraulically, with an integral air control valve included. The output is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. The 272 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output is 57 HP at 1,000 RPM or 43 kW at 1,000 RPM. Rotatable flanges, a wet-spline option, and Smart Start for high-torque start-up conditions are among the standout features.
