The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJW-B8RY or 281GBFJWB8RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. The 281 Series carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft and supports over 56 HP of output power. It mounts via a 10-bolt flange and offers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. An upgraded ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the enhanced clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than those in the predecessor 280 Series. An o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists vibrational effects from modern engine designs.
