281GBFJW-B8RF Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJW-B8RF or 281GBFJWB8RF, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. An evolution of the widely used 280 Series, the 281 Series adds a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios span low and high ranges. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fitment issues, and a Positive Stop on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart technology are also featured.
