281GBKVP-B5RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBKVP-B5RY or 281GBKVPB5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc stack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. A wet spline lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and the SmartStart feature are included to protect driven equipment and reduce shock load at engagement.
