The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GDFJP-D3XD or 281GDFJPD3XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly fitted on Allison transmissions. It is an evolution of the 280 Series, carrying forward a continuous-duty torque design with a single torque rating rather than split intermittent and continuous values. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects and improves clamp load. Steel discs in the clutch pack are 80% thicker than the prior generation to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications.
