281GDFJY-D5RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281GDFJY-D5RY or 281GDFJYD5RY is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted, hot-shift power take-off designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series carries a single, continuous duty torque rating and offers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. An upgraded ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing damaging vibrational effects. The clutch pack features steel discs that are 80% thicker than those in the predecessor 280 Series, resisting premature tooth wear. Rotatable, cast-iron flanges reduce interference and improve pump clearance. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
