281GGFJP-E3XD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-E3XD or 281GGFJPE3XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt aperture automatic transmissions, commonly Allison applications. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 introduces a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed requirements. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference, and a positive stop on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration extends shaft life 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment, and SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement for applicable setups.
