The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJW-G3RY or 281GGFJWG3RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly Allison applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series platform, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc design to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed output needs. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart are available for equipment protection and reduced startup shock.
