281GKFJP-B3BD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-B3BD or 281GKFJPB3BD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. Built as an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series incorporates a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel disc clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fitment issues, and a Positive Stop for driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is included for equipment protection. Common markets include fire and rescue, refuse, truck cranes, and pumper-cleaner trucks.
