The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-D5BC or 281GKFJPD5BC, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and delivers continuous operation capability with nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibration-induced wear. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline configurations. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference.
