281GMFJW-H8RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJW-H8RY or 281GMFJWH8RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, carrying forward a single continuous-duty torque rating and nine available speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron used in earlier designs, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects. The clutch pack features steel disks 80% thicker than the predecessor, resisting premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump-clearance interference, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. A hose is included.
