The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off (part 281GPFJP-D8XD or 281GPFJPD8XD) is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is an evolution of the widely used 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs that are 80% thicker to resist premature wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Markets served include fire and rescue, refuse, truck cranes, and pumper cleaner equipment.
