281GTFJP-D8XD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJP-D8XD or 281GTFJPD8XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 brings a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel disc clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance issues, and the optional wet spline lubrication extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects connected equipment. Common applications include fire and rescue, refuse, pumper-cleaner, and truck crane vehicles.
