The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJR-N3XV or 281GTFJRN3XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. Built as an evolution of the 280 Series, it carries a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. The o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces the damaging vibrational effects of modern engine designs. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline configurations.
