The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJW-D5RY or 281GTFJWD5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison applications. An evolution of the proven 280 Series, the 281 Series adds a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibration from modern engine designs. The clutch pack features 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed demands, and rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues at the pump mounting face. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is included to protect driven equipment. Available with a Wet Spline lubrication option for extended shaft life.
