The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282GDAJX-A5XD or 282GDAJXA5XD, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO engineered for continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm). It ships with a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and supports pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. An integral air valve and rotatable flanges are built in. The 282 Series is rated at 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and covers Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other transmission platforms. Typical working applications include aerial equipment, towing and recovery, construction equipment, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. Optional wet-spline lubrication and a Smart Start feature for high-torque engagement are available within the series.
