The Chelsea 282XCAJX-15RF or 282XCAJX15RF is a medium-duty hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for continuous-duty applications up to 300 lb-ft. It mounts on 8-bolt transmission apertures and fits transmissions from Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and other manufacturers. The shift system supports either pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) operation, and the output is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. At 1,000 RPM the unit delivers 57 HP (43 kW); at 500 RPM, 29 HP (21 kW). Rotatable flanges, an integral air valve, and an optional wet-spline output make this a practical fit for aerial, towing and recovery, construction, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications.
