The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XCAJX-A3XV or 282XCAJXA3XV, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO rated for continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built in. The 282 Series is compatible with Allison, Volvo/Mack, and Eaton/Fuller transmissions, among others. Rotatable flanges and an optional Wet-Spline output extend PTO and pump shaft service life. A Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up situations. Shaft power output is rated at 29 HP (21 kW) at 500 RPM and 57 HP (43 kW) at 1000 RPM.
